We have started this years seasons for the grass cutting program on various locations around the Town.

We have been working on some of the pathways and steps that lead through Elwell Woods to make them safer and accessible.
This is a constant job to keep the pathways and hedging at Pillmere neat and tidy but it worth the effort.
The meadow at Pillmere has been cut as its the end of the season for the wild flowers.
Recent work carried out on the Fairmead Allotments clearing the pathways and surrounding hedges and tree branches.
This gives you and idea of some of the work we carry out around the Town. We even water rose gardens and trees during the hot weather.

A new Town Ferry sign has been fitted at the pier to help guide the public toward the Jubilee Pontoon.
One are we manage is the green surround the Cornwall Cross. As this forms part of the entrance to Cornwall we like to keep this looking nice for everyone as the visit or leave.
A very large 40ft log floated down river and wedged itself to our pontoon. This has now been tied up ready to be removed correctly to avoid any damage further down stream.
We like to make the entrance into Churchtown as neat as possible as this is an area of reflection and respect.
Part of our work is to maintain the Ashe area at Churchtown Cemetery which is next to the reflection seating area and rose garden. You can also see the letters to Heaven post box.
We also look after the grass and surrounding area at the War Memorial.

The Service Delivery Team have been out cutting the grass areas to the Cornwall Cross, Brunel Bust and also the peace gardens today.
The ground has been leveled and new grass seed added to repair the area after the boat planter was removed from the green at the waterfront.

You will see our Team around the Pillmere estate cutting the grass in many areas. Please be carful and keep your distance while they are working.
